This is our standard VW T3 5-speed gearbox rebuild/repair service package . To secure this service you will be charged a €1000 non-refundable deposit upon checkout.  You will be contacted by us by email to confirm receipt of your deposit and you will receive instructions on how to send your gearbox to us.  The balance plus any authorised costs will then be invoiced to you later,  in the final invoice for your rebuild.

Der Service umfasst den Austausch aller üblichen Verschleißteile sowie einige Verbesserungen zur Behebung bekannter Mängel. Wir überholen Getriebe nach den ursprünglichen VW-Werkstoleranzen; dazu ist es notwendig, alle Verbrauchsmaterialien und Verschleißteile wie Lager, Dichtungen und Buchsen zu ersetzen. Außerdem ersetzen wir Einwegteile wie Sicherungsringe gemäß dem werksseitigen Überholungsverfahren und tauschen die Synchronringe aus. Alle Lagervorspannungen und das Flankenspiel werden akribisch gemessen und das Getriebe entsprechend eingestellt. Unser Ziel ist es, Ihr Getriebe so nah wie möglich an den Neuzustand heranzuführen oder es durch einige Modifikationen sogar noch widerstandsfähiger als neu zu machen.

If your gearbox is broken it will need this service plus whatever components replacing that are not covered here. If you are wishing to upgrade your box to accommodate and engine conversion you will also need this service plus whatever parts you require.

Until we inspect your box it is very hard to give you a more accurate quote on what it needs. Upon receipt of your service booking fee, we shall supply you with shipping instructions on how to send your gearbox to us. We have currently secured very low prices from our courier company for shipping.

Diese sind auf verschiedene Budgets zugeschnitten, von gering bis hoch. Sie entscheiden sich dann für die gewünschte Option und begleichen den Restbetrag. Ihr Getriebe wird gemäß Ihren Vorgaben überholt und Ihnen zusammen mit einem Überholungsbericht zur Dokumentation zugeschickt. Alle Sendungen sind versichert.

The service includes:

Entlastungsgebühr.

Inspection Report. A full detailed inspection report and detailed gear ratio graphs tailored to your set up, rebuild quotes, and suggestions tailored for you and your van.

Aufladegebühr.

Case preparation. including intensive cleaning and re-tapping and cleaning all threads.

Engineering work and fittings, including re-boring and re-sleeving of the case for the 1^st & 2^nd relay lever, and fitting of the main shaft bearing stop plate to prevent the main shaft from moving forward in the case.

New Parts. I only use the best quality parts for rebuilds these are constantly tested by me for quality and best price. These parts are sourced from all around the world where possible I use original VW or OEM parts where possible.

• 4 New Syncro rings (includes genuine VW 1^st gear Syncro ring, and best quality aftermarket rings)
• Neues Kegelradlager FAG
• New main shaft bearing FAG or Fersa depending on availability
• New diff bearings Timken or SKF
• Andere Gehäuselager und Beschläge
• Neue Dichtungen und Sicherungsringe in bester Qualität, entweder original VW oder OEM
• This also includes a complete overhaul of your bell housing including replacement of all wear items

If your gearbox is broken you may need other items such as new Syncro hubs or gears which we can discuss

Das Streichen ist in diesem Preis nicht in Ihr Paket eingeschlossen, aber Ihre Box kann gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr gestrichen werden.

1 Year Warranty. All rebuilds come with a one year warranty and also additional back up and advice. See hier 

It is advised that you replace your gear linkage when getting your gearbox rebuilt, linkage kits are available hier 

Slots are on a first-come-first-served basis. We generally aim for a turnaround time of a month from receipt of your box but this can sometimes be longer depending on parts availability and the machine shop.  Until we inspect your box it is very hard to say but as stated earlier within about 2 weeks of receiving your box. We shall be able to give you a more accurate quote.

€1000 non-refundable deposit is included in the service cost. The rest of the balance will be invoiced to you from us at Vantopia™.
