VW T3 T25 Vanagon Syncro Speedometer Drive Black 094 409 181 C.  Speedometer drive in Black  with 20 teeth, suitable for VW T3 Syncro. Suits Drive gear with 8 teeth so 20/8 original VW colour Black  for the following Front Differentials with the suffix C in the code. Will fit some of the following depending on which suffix they use  such as 6N,ADM,ANB,ANC,AAM, and AHB
This gear is a German copy of the original. The material is identical to the VW org. Part. All of the sprockets are black/grey for production reasons, but correspond to the speedometer drive sprocket described above.

NB!
Owners should satisfy themselves that the speedo pinion is of the correct ratio before fitting, since the driving worm wheels fitted to various differential units are of different diameters and will fail to mesh properly with the incorrect pinion. This will cause immediate or premature failure.
It is essential to check that the pinion shaft is free running inside its alloy bearing sleeve. If found to be tight, notchy or “digital”, the seal should be removed from the sleeve and the bore resized with a sharp 10.0mm reamer.
