There are rebuilds and then there are rebuilds, This package includes our standard rebuild package for VW T3 T25 4 speed Gearbox with extra strengthening and lubrication which addresses the known faults in these gearboxes such as play in the gear carrier from the selector rods and also adds a mainshaft stop plate which also strengthens the gearbox. We can also add new 1st 3rd and 4th and reverse gears, new synchroniser hubs and sliders if required at an extra discounted cost. We don’t have many cores so to avail of this deal you need to be quick. You will be contacted by us by email to confirm receipt of your payment and we will then start to build your gearbox for you, and ship your box to you.
For exchange boxes. You will receive instructions on how to send your gearbox to us and we can provide you with a shipping label if required (price of which will be deducted from your deposit. Once we receive your gearbox and we confirm it is is rebuildable condition we will then refund you the refundable core charge of 400 euros.
The gearbox service involves the replacement of all common wear items and some upgrades to rectify known faults. We rebuild gearboxes to the original VW factory tolerances, to do that it is necessary to replace all the consumable wear items, i.e. bearings, seals, and bushes. We also replace single-use parts such as circlips as per the factory rebuild procedure and replace the synchro rings. All bearing preloads and backlash is measured meticulously, and the box is set up accordingly. Our aim is to restore your box to as close to new as possible or even stronger than new with some upgrades. You can also decide to add any additional upgrades that you require your box will be built to your specifications and shipped to you with a build report for your records. All shipping is insured.
Case preparation. including intensive cleaning and re-tapping and cleaning all threads.
New Parts. I only use the best quality parts for rebuilds these are constantly tested by me for quality and best price. These parts are sourced from all around the world where possible I use original VW or OEM parts where possible.
