VW T3/T25 094 5 speed HD TDI gearbox with new gears and HD GT 4th and 5th gears..  A Fully Reconditioned five speed gearbox with new crown and pinion, Reverse, first, second, third gears. And GT fourth and fifth gears and new HD Synchronisers and a new TDI input shaft. This is a new Heavy Duty TDI gearbox with all new internals  which is stronger and will cope with a modern TDI or other engine  conversions. This includes upgrades to strengthen and add extra lubrication to critical components and addresses know problems with the 094 gearboxes.
Rebuild includes:

  • New TDI Crown and Pinion 7/29 4.14  ratios.
  • New Late 2/3 Synchroniser unit and new keys, springs, and slider
  • New HD 4/5 Synchroniser unit, Weddle HD syncro hub and new keys, springs, and slider

Locking Differentials

  • An option for going off the beaten track when camping. Locking differentials allow you to extend your camping adventures in fact a 2WD locking differential van with the right tyres will go nearly anywhere a Syncro will. As the differential locks this eliminates wheel spin and provides extra grip no more getting stuck in muddy fields etc.
    These come in three flavours
    Limited Slip Differentials
    Torque Biasing Differentials
    Syncro Manual Locking Differentials

Generally I prefer to give these as part of a rebuild, otherwise I cannot give you any warranty as your box could be faulty. Due to various supply issues and also faults we do not sell LSDs only Syncro locking Differentials and Pelloquin Torque Biasing Differentials as shown below

  • Syncro locking differential option * this involves providing a locking Differential case and the supply or all the other parts required to operate the Syncro Diff lock mechanism and either a Manual Syncro Locking Diff 2 spider or 4 spider Differential.
  • Or Pelloquin TBD differentials either locking or non locking more info here

Syncro gear carrier mods

Involves machining your gear carrier to incorporate the stronger Syncro mainshaft bearing lock key one way valve selector cover and Mainshaft Bearing aluminium seal. These stop oil starvation and thus damage to bearings and the reverse and G gears in a syncro, or  1st and R in a 5 speed gearbox when climbing steep hills.
