VW T3 Hydro mount TDI, proven to be the best option for TDI , GTI and even stock Diesel engines in a T3 including Syncros. The hydraulic engine mounts damp out any unwanted vibrations much more effectively that are normally transmitted through the standard rubber mounts. Diameter 55 mm – these need special brackets to install available in the shop for all diesel, GTI and 1.9L TDI conversions. Depending on the bracket, modifications to the mount may be required. – Hydraulic engine mounts were installed in the Golf with TDI engines so have a track history. During installation, only two retaining tabs on the top of the hydraulic mounts need to be ground down so that the original engine mount sits flush . PLEASE NOTE: These brackets replace the standard rubber-metal mounts from ’84 onwards. They will not fit vehicles prior to ’84 with the old engine mounts. If other engine mounts/brackets have already been installed due to modifications, these brackets will fit.
